Disaster READY Training gives students a hands-on chance to learn real readiness skills. And that means they don’t just sit and listen. They spend a little bit of time listening and learning, and then they apply the info in carefully designed exercises and activities. The training also gives students a chance to explore careers in emergency management, response, and preparedness from professionals working in a variety of areas and disciplines.

Sponsor & Cost Information

The training program is sponsored by READYColorado, the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security, and the City and County of Denver on behalf of the Denver Urban Area Security Initiative. Participation in the training is provided at no charge to the attendee.  Funding for the program is provided by a FEMA/U.S. Department of Homeland Security grant.
